as i shuddered yesterday while pondering an entire city of tex-mex glenn becks, the shock forced my mind to eventually drift to a much more pleasant topic: out of all the cities i’ve been too, which one generally had the best looking women?
i initially considered rome because of its surprisingly dense population of banging-ass african women (seriously) and the fact that their streets are full of cheesing monica bellucci dopplegangers skipping around in spandex jeans and 6-inch heels, and miami because thats where esther baxter’s from.
but, after considering all of my options, the abundance of dime women created by a combination of the numerous african/west indian/asian/south american hybrid neighborhoods and the general gentleness of the culture there makes toronto a surprisingly easy choice. seriously, out of the 10 best looking women i’ve ever seen in person, eight were from the t-dot, and the other two don’t count because i’m still not convinced they were from this earth.
anyway, people of vsb.com, you’ve read my choice. in your opinion, which city has the best looking women/men, and why?

If you all haven’t been to Vancouver… get there. Hands down the best looking group of sisters and brothers I’ve EVER seen. Great music scene, bangin’ clubs, trendy lounges and restaurants… worth the trip, even in the ice cold winter. The city itself is gorgeous with mountains as backdrop and water at the base. The people are just as darn pretty. Cool Afro-Caribe vibe as well.

I going to be biased here and say the area right outside of D.C called Northern VA or what we locals call NOVA! Only because all the PG county and D.C boys would cross the bridge and flood our malls just to say they “booked a NOVA joint”! And b/c I’ve heard many a time we had the best looking women in the area. Which I totally agree lol. I would say the men here in the D.C area are pretty good-lookin as well, compared to other cities I’ve visited and have lived in.

I have to agree with you Champ about Toronto. Being that I have family there and have been there a gazillion times I am quite familiar with the women there. At one time in my life I honestly felt that my wife would come from there. What had me open about the women there was abundance of chics with cool attitudes, big booties, and dime faces. When I first started kicking it with chics up there it was culture shock. There was a VERY STARK difference b/w them and what I was dealing with in Detroit at the time. I think Detroit has some of the best looking women. The video girl/urban model phenomenon is proof of it. But thats where it stops. When it comes to substance and looks it’s not plentiful here. Other than these two places I would have to say Atlanta and California too. When I was in Atlanta I was blown away. That was the first place I saw a woman with an @ss and a six pack stomach. California didn’t have as many chics with bodies like ATL but they still had some “hammers”. I remember a few from San Diego and L.A. especially.

1. Gaborone, Botswana- soooo underrated. my dad’s homeland, the women there are BEE-YOO-TI-FUL! check out miss universe 1999, mpule kwelagobe – mind you, she’s considered ‘regular’ – (no ATM – African Trade Mark, better known to you lot as the booty). botswana INVENTED the coke-bottle figure aesthetic!
2. Addis Abeba, Ethiopia – a stereotype, but it’s based on truth. these women are beauties. i lived there, i would know. in fact, east african women in general with them long necks…
3. New York City – for all the africans living there, it might as well become the honorary 54th African nation… the women in this city represent ALL KINDS of beauty, all of it!! i loved living there and being one of said beauties…
4. senegalese women -another underrated bunch. elegance personified. they move like royalty, graceful, gorgeous, charming- it’s like they’re from some other planet….
5-10. southern africa in general (shameless regional bias here)- if you like your women gorgeous, figure-8 shaped and full of spice… the southern african subcontinent is the place for you. think along the lines of the young Winnie Mandela. (i searched the net in vain for this particular photograph of her in traditional Xhosa dress at Nelson Mandela’s Rivonia Treason Trial – she caused such a commotion that the judge ordered her to change into ‘decent’ [western]clothing, ) this woman is what we call a devastating beauty….she is still a stunner – i saw her the other day in the mall, and was just in awe…. in her mid-70’s, she’s still got it….

I do remember being absolutely stunned by all of the fabulous body types (not too skinny but really big boobies) and killer asymmetrical haircuts of black/white girls in Berlin.

Yeah, I have family down there that I almost never see. It’s just not a fun city to visit, which is crazy cause they got hella attractions…lol
New Orleans has some pretty good lookin’ women, don’t sleep.
It’s also home to some good looking brothas. Unfortunately, some very fugly ones live there, too.
Chicago has it’s fair share of male and female hotties.
I gotta give love to NY, too.
Lisbon had beautiful people…many of them Cape Verdeans or Angolans. Not the Euro ones.
Kenya has good looking folk, as does Trinidad. None of the good looking folk I met in Toronto were actually from there, so I can’t give them full props.

I think I have a theory….beautiful people are probly the only people that can prosper in Mexico. The ugmos (not all of em…I’ve seen some bangale mexican girls in NOVA) come north for a better life cause in Americam an ugmo can be sucessful. I think that is Darwinism. In the past the ugly people would be cast out or serve as peasants or something. In America ugly people get a shot at suceeding.

Having recently been to London I would have to agree with that listing for both men and women, I would parallel London with the US bc it is indeed a melting pot of cultures so there is something for everyone. Their style is uniquely fashionable and those accents can melt the draws right off. Lol.
New York also has very attracting head turning chocolate men, I am floored by their attractiveness daily (all while keeping a cool head). NY definitely satisfies my daily sweet tooth craving of man candy.

Been to Toronto. what struck me was the number of YOUNG whyte homeless people…not the brawds LOL
I did have this tour guide brawd tryna push up on Mo and another brotha forgot his name ,who kept me company cause all three of us were from DC so we were fast friends and kinda hung out on the trip, you know how some women makes a nucca stock rise just from association, LOL albeit dude wasn’t my type but this brawd didn’t know that, thirsty winch…. international hate crimes are real my friends LLS!!!!!!

Men:
Bay area – They work out, have cool personalities, and I’ve met a lot of cuties from here. A bonus is that they’re really nice and not arrogant.
Chicago – I haven’t been but some of the finest men I’ve met are from here
Women:
Miami – I agree with the others that Miami has beautiful women. I know that when I visit that I have to step up my game.
Asmara, Eritrea – I’m biased cuz I’m from here but the women are very beautiful
Hong Kong – Lived there for 6 mths and the women are very pretty and stylish.

Never been to Toronto but I have gots to make that trip happen fa sho. I like all kinds of women and I think the bigger the city the more variety you’ll get. So, being from the south I have to say that,with no disrespect to NY because they do have so dimes there Lawd Jeebus knows they do but, Miami has that fire with the ATL a close 2nd. I like to go to Best Buy and feel like I’m at da club. I like going to the gas station and seeing rap video chicks. I not only like it I Love It. While this may be a varying occasion in most places in Miami its normal to see the baddest broad every other red light surrounded by other dimes on a Tuesday at 3:15pm + they’ll extend you every courtesy. NY have some chicks that will play it close to the chest to a fault. Southern Hospitality is what I’m used to and what I prefer. In Miami and Atlanta you get that.

What?!? Y’all haven’t heard of this spot? For shame. All jokes aside, I don’t even think that Everett (or Seattle) would make it anywhere near this list. People are constantly shocked when they found out that I’m born and raised in the Seattle area. They always assume I’m from Cali, ATL, New York, or Florida.
When I’ve traveled, I really never did pay much attention to the “scenery”. So I just don’t have an opinion on this one.

I was about to say that!! My 4-month stint in Seattle did NOT disappoint AT ALL! What with Boeing, Microsoft and all the other traditionally male-dominated industries here, I was in geek-chic heaven!!! Plus we had a lot of guys stationed in Alaska (oil & gas assignments) who came down to Seattle for the week-ends instead of going to their respective cities (usually more than a 2hr flight away) so it was a smogarsbord of handsome, intelligent and stylish men.
Needless to say, I looooved my stay there.

From what I can tell, the Seattle area has decent enough talent (As far as women go), but the attitude is what puts Olympia, in particular, over the top. i would go with:
washington, dc area (not just because i’m from there). it’s not called chocolate city for nothing. there is such a variety of black women there to choose from. there is a high population of of east african women that are just stunning. i miss home.
miami, fl. for obvious choices.
atlanta, ga. the women there are beautiful but there are too many wanna be singers and get wits. it doesn’t hurt that the ratio of females to males is seriously skewed. the fact that gay men run rampant in atlanta just makes the ratio of single black women ridiculously high.

on personal travels alone Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is packed with attractive women. We were warned before the flight and I dismissed it. Goodness gracious. No straight up dymes, but the general attractiveness of the women is astounding.

I am surprised NY is getting so much love. I haven’t seen anything great come from there. The women that I’ve known from there would be average where I am. I forgot to mention the DMV. I saw a lot of attractive women there. I’m surprised no one has mentioned Houston, TX. I’ve seen a few dimes from there.

I keep tellin’ ya Humble. Houston, TX is the best kept secret in the nation. And we like to keep it that way… and most Houston people don’t expatriate themselves, so to see the good ones you gotta come to the city.
But yeah, Houston has some of the best looking chicks I’ve seen in the country… I would even say that as far as looks/substance goes, Houston is way ahead of Atlanta.

Not necessarily strictly looks. But the ratio looks to substance, yup, Houston > Atlanta. We don’t have as many wanna be video models or aspiring singers down these parts. Moreso professional women who happen to be gorgeous.

however here comes the downside, im eastfrican and even tho there r tons many good-lookin eastfrican chicks up here (literally) to satisfy any guy’s tastes…THERE ARE NO GUYS!!! at least any good-lookin ones (no offence to any male torontonians but i jus had to put ya’ll on blast :s )
Put it this way, there seems to be this constant search for any half-decent guy who is somewhat put together, has his life on track and can hold a semi-coherent convo (not much 2 ask for)…so no guys+single sexy ladies waiting on the prowl=a very fun time during caribana lool
seriously, hands down U.S dudes make us smile lol…esp. those from NYC, im hooked for life…
so yea, jus had 2 throw that in….even tho theres an abundance of very good-lookin girls esp east africans(swear im not bein biased cuz i’m one too lol) there jus arent enuff guys so all u Americans, def make those journeys up here, thanks!

Second off, everyone talking about the fineness of West African men, as the President-Elect of F.I.N.E. I just want to thank all of you for your continued support, and draws.
C. Really the list of beautiful people cities should have the following guidelines. People complain that if the people in a city aren’t from there, then it doesn’t count, which is a ridiculous notion to me. If I visit your city and see sexiness everywhere, why should I care if they were born there, the suburbs, mars or heaven? Bottom line is they there. So in no particular order, my personal list of cities where I seen the best looking women with DEEZ 2 EYEZ:
DC, NYC, Chicago, LA, Tunis.
Shout out to Montreal, Paris, Lagos/Abuja, Miami and Luxembourg, saw a couple stunnas, but ultimately didn’t make the cut.
London, ATL maybe I just went during bad times, but definitely was very disappointed with the talent.
Next year I’m in T-Dot for Caribana, Johannesburg for WC2010 (tho y’all making me think Cape Town is the better look), and maybe Dallas for the All Star game.

I know I’m biased because I’m born and raised here, but Los Angeles has amazingly beautiful women. Sure there are all of the imports – the actress, models, dancers, dancers and singers (as well as the aspiring actresses, models, dancers, dancers and singers). And of course it doesn’t hurt to have no fewer than 12 major Universities within earshot, plus pristine beaches 11.7 months/year and almost as many gyms and health stores as there are churches and liquor stores in the hood.
But beyond the celebrities and imports, there are just beautiful women, here in LA all over the place. And I’m talking celebrity-beautiful, Beyonce/Kitoy Johnson chicks just at the grocery store. You can get in trouble here because they’re everywhere you turn. Even the homeless women here are fine! Seriously, you can see a drop-dead gorgeous woman at 4:00 am o’clock in the morning pushing a grocery basket down Crenshaw Blvd.

Focus on the looks. Not the… well, everything else about L.A. women.
The problem with L.A. is that there’s so damn many people here. Not everyone’s gonna be fine and evidently we don’t have as good a percentage as a few Canadian cities (Who knew?). I don’t know what the Ratio would be:

but as far as raw numbers, we’ve got a lot of Talent out here to work with.

I’m currently a diplomat posted in Colombia and I gotta say that for women Colombia is near the top of the list. Much like Brasil, all of the plastic surgery can be distracting, but as far as percentages of just attractive women, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place. There are women of all kinds – black, brown, white, middle eastern, plus mixtures of all kind (especially on the coast) – and they are all fine. Of the cities here I’d say Cali and Medellin have the best looking women.

Because of my unfortunate situation, I live vicariously through VSB..hehe
…it just happen to be the place where I grew up..to make matters WORSE I live in rural Iowa..yeah….right across the street from a farm..I should’ve picked a college outside of but IA decided to stay here–uh, EPIC fail..Matter-of-fact, my school is in a small ass country bumpkin town (I am one of 5..yep 5 black females on campus)..I have yet to have a “real” black experience, so when I graduate in May I’m hoppin’ on the first train/bus/plane out of here!

@Spiffy, lmao @ Somali women and their foreheads. I am so self-concious about my forehead, but I think my people are really beautiful. I think East Africans in general : Sudanese, Somali, Ethiopian, and Eriterian are all really pretty.
I think t-dot has a good mix of ethnicities and my friends and I always say the best looking Somali guys are from Toronto…maybe I’m just biased but DC is NOT where its at.
