In VSB traditin of taking days off to celebrate US holidays, we hope that you all enjoy Memorial Day with some BBQ and basketball and salute yourself a veteran on this unofficial first day of summer.

And in the spirit of all things good and gooder, I leave you with this little commercial for a store in High Point, NC.

At the Reeeeeeeeeeed House.

Hilarity.  Indeed.  And we’ll see you on Tuesday as we start Hip-Hop Week here at VSB.com.

@Jay_Delicious,
I caught some of Stand after the game went off. I thought it was pretty good. My SO and I talked about it afterward and he said the people that need to see it, probably didn’t. I agree.

@pgh muse,
I want to shop at the Red House now! (effective commercial) I would go directly up to the white guy, tell him I’m black, tell him I have some embarrassing nickname and ask him to show me to the furniture that’s good for black people…. or other people too.

Or maybe I would just sit outside and sing, in some fake southern emo garb. See now everyone at the memorial day festival and BBQ is going to think I’m crazy as a loon cuz I’m gonna have to be singing ‘at the reeeeeeeeeed house!’ all day long.

I hate you panama. Hip-hop week better be full of DC’s underground sensations like Oddisee and RPM. I may forgive you if that happens.

@Panama Jackson,
I hate you then. I’m in Jersey NYC urrrea and I don’t get to hear anything unless my family puts me on it, and I don’t got XM so I can’t lissen freely and I can’t put people up here on them unless you put the word out. Shoulda known you’d refuse though. I had asked you not to name yourself Tangle Jig P too, even though it was my fault you even got the name. you ornery joker

This commercial was hilarious. Too bad Asians don’t shop there… (so not my thought process- someone else pointed that out to me)

Ha ha ha, i remember as a young tyke, my siblings and i slipping LL’s ‘i need love’ into the tape deck in my dads car, loving it hugely – halfway thru the track, papa’s like “exactly when does this guy plan to start singing?”

ha ha ha ha ha, to this day this memory cracks me up – nothing like the african dads, ha ha ha!!!
